Rome wasn’t built in a day .. but a salad bowl can be .. even in a couple of minutes !! Salads, in my opinion, are amazing .. You can truly add a new ingredient daily and never tire of them ..
A salad bowl need not be difficult to make.. it is all in the preparation before hand that can have you making an award winning salad daily .. 🏆
My way to build a salad is to cook your proteins first .. choose egg, chicken, lean meats, salmon, beans, quinoa, chick peas..
next is to bake pumpkin or sweet potato. (It can last a couple of days in the fridge 😉)
So first is to layer your base with leafy mix, spinach or kale
Next add your vegetables eg shredded carrot, tomato, broccoli, onion, capsicum, snow peas, cabbage…
Next is the fats .. eg avocado, nuts, seeds, olive oil..
And to add a dressing .. eg.. I love Tahini ( who doesn’t 🤷🏼♀️) , lemon juice, Plain Greek yoghurt, apple cider vinegar, hummus..
And your salad is DONE LIKE A BOSS !!
